Plugging In

Overview of Where You can Plug In and Help

As a volunteer organization, there are several things we wish we could do better, but simply don't have the people power to do it. We need you!

Most people like to know exactly what they are volunteering for. We've identified particular areas of need. We are open to help in other areas based on your interest, but we hope you will check out the needs we have identified first. If you are interested in helping in any way, first please register for our newsletter so we have your basic information, Then write to This email address is being protected from spambots. Writers

We are looking for people who would be willing to take a particular area, research it and write about it! By keeping your area focused, you can keep practical boundaries on your time as a volunteer. Members of our group will be glad to assist you and give you direction. Some of the writing focuses we have identified are: keeping articles on a specific cases current and following Michigan legislation affecting wrongful convictions and exonerees. You may have a topic you are passionate about. Tell us about it and maybe we can work together. We love to get fresh and original material about wrongful convictions.

Website and Social Media

We want to reach people with today's technology. To date, virtually all of our technical development has been volunteered by people who have "day jobs". We welcome your help.

Our site is built on Wix. You do not need to be a programmer to help with our website. It is a simple drag and drop platform. We are quite willing to teach you the ins and outs and you will always have the aid and direction of a board member.

If interested in any of the above, please write to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Exoneree Assistance

We have made significant strides in the area of exoneree assistance. Having a volunteer who could focus on this would be helpful. PI offers funds to help exonerees when they first re-enter society and we want to be as supportive as we can.
